"Access to Success" by the Small Business Procurement and Networking Conference
The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), National Capital Region (NCR), is pleased to invite you to participate in this year's premiere procurement conference targeted to assist the small, small disadvantaged, woman-owned, HUBZone, 8(a) certified, veteran and service-disabled veteran small business community. Our theme, "Access to Success", is promised to be a worthwhile endeavor of the small business owner serious about taking his or her business to a new level in Federal procurement.
The conference will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2009, at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC. Registration will open at 8:00 a.m. and the opening session will begin at 9:00 a.m.
Last year, GSA/NCR awarded over $668 million in contracts to small businesses and these annual procurement conferences assist us in identifying qualified small businesses with whom to contract.
Another very important part of our business is our Subcontracting Program. Large companies, like yours, play a significant role in creating numerous subcontracting opportunities that enable companies to become more experienced in Federal business. Over the past five years, GSA has included prime contractors as exhibitors during these conferences and each year, conference attendees consistently highlight this as one of the most valuable aspects of the event.
I'm writing to ask for your support of this conference as an exhibitor. The associated fee of $700 includes a six foot skirted table, two chairs, and two luncheon tickets. We are confident you will find this a worthwhile endeavor of your company's time and resources; as well as a key opportunity to help fulfill your company's Subcontracting Plan goals. If you have any additional questions, please contact Shaunta Johnson, Director of our Small Business Utilization Center, on (202) 708-5804 or by email at shaunta.johnson@gsa.gov.
Sincerely,
Shaunta Johnson
