Trailblazer [treyl-bley-zer] (noun)

• One that blazes a trail to guide others, a pathfinder;
• An innovative leader in a field, a pioneer;

Trailblazer is the CTO’s initiative to enable a pipeline of innovation throughout the enterprise. There are two areas of focus:

• Future Technologists (Students): We have been building stronger relationships with universities to recruit new talent through a standardized internship program, cooperative work, and funded research. The CTO office is sponsoring several internships in key subject areas throughout the business in 2009.
  
  
• Technology Innovation Groups: Technology Innovation Groups (TIG) are comprised of ManTech technology experts, proven solution providers, and volunteers that are committed to supporting technology excellence and innovation across the BUs and for our customers. They will serve as ”intraprenuers” identifying and developing solutions in their areas of expertise and as the “go to” groups for opportunities and proposals.
