As Executive Vice President & Chief Growth Officer, Joe Cubba leads ManTech’s strategic growth initiatives and investments, working with ManTech’s business sectors and the Innovation & Capabilities Organization (ICO) to drive mission-critical outcomes for our national security clients.
He joined ManTech as a Senior Vice President following a 20-year career at IBM, where he most recently served as Senior Partner and Vice President of Defense and Intelligence. At IBM, Cubba drove double-digit annual growth by deploying A.I., machine learning, advanced analytics, hybrid cloud, and next-generation enterprise solutions to solve challenging mission needs across the national security enterprise. As a national security expert, he brings deep mission expertise and knowledge of the national innovation ecosystem.
Throughout his career, Cubba has launched and driven many successful innovation initiatives within the Defense Department and Intelligence Community. He has been honored by the government and industry groups for his thought leadership.
Cubba began his career in the U.S. Air Force as a satellite systems engineer. After ten years of active-duty service, he joined the Navy Reserve as an Intelligence Officer, where he served for over 30 years, ultimately retiring as a Captain from the U.S. Navy after 40 years of total service. He graduated from the Naval War College, earned an MBA from the University of Denver–Daniels College of Business, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Park University. He also attended Harvard and Wharton executive education programs.
